Burning fat can be very difficult and challenging. However, it is important to know that as it is with every task we set out to accomplish, there are guidelines or in this case, Laws which assist us and give us a clearer picture of how best to achieve the task at hand.
Summer is around the corner, use these 10 laws to guide you in leaning out before it arrives.
1. Set Goals
You are about to embark on a journey. Get a notepad or open a notebook memo on your phone, write down your weight, waist measurement, and other factors you might want to take into consideration.
Take pictures of how you’re looking right now. Then after, write down what you want to achieve, and the results you hope to accomplish.
Setting these goals and putting them down helps to kick-start the process.
2. Prepare Your Meals Beforehand
It’s easy to say you want to eat clean, but actually following through with it is a different ball game. To ensure that you actually stay faithful with a diet plan, you should adopt the habit of preparing your meals well before you will need them. This will help prevent you from snacking out or eating unplanned meals.
Look at it this way, If the meal is already cooked and all you need to do is warm it, there’s a higher chance of following through with it, than ordering for a pizza and waiting for it to get delivered.
3. Green Vegetables Are Essential
Vegetables are what we call ‘Fibrous Carbohydrates’. They are not only packed with micronutrients, but also have very minimal calories. They keep the body functioning at an optimal level and aid in fat loss.
Make it a habit to have greens in each meal. Some great examples are Celery, Kale, broccoli.
4. Protein Is Crucial
Of the 3 macronutrients; Fats, Carbohydrates and Proteins, the body uses up the most calories in trying to break down proteins.
Essentially that means the more protein the body has to break down, the more calories the body will burn. Also, protein will help facilitate recovery from the physical exercises and activities you will be doing to burn fat.

5. Cut Out Junk Food
Confectioneries, processed foods, soft drinks, fast foods, In general Foods high in sugars. These are all a Big No If you’re really serious about burning fat and trimming down that waistline.
6. Fry Less
Grill your chicken, steam your vegetables, boil your plantain, these are examples of some other cooking options besides frying. Your goal here is to minimize as much frying as possible. And when you do decide to fry, make do with very minimal oil.
7. Drink More Water
Water is good. More water is even better. Drink lots of it. Always stay hydrated. Make it a habit to always have a bottle of water around you. Especially when you’re on the go.
8. Fish Oil Is Vital
Supplementing with fish oil and omega-3 supplements have numerous benefits to the body. Fish oil is an excellent source of healthy fats which the body not only uses to improve the performance of our organs but also burn bad fat in the body.
9. Get Your Heart Rate Up
It’s true that fat loss can occur only by altering what goes into the body. However, Wouldn’t you want this process to be as fast as possible? Even if you can’t afford to get a gym membership, there are tons of workouts you can implement in the comfort of your home with little or no equipment.
Try something that gets your heart rate up. The more intense the workout is, the higher the heart rate rockets and this translates into fat loss.
10. Be Realistic
You’ve got to be realistic and trust in the process. Burning fat is no sprint. However, it doesn’t have to be a marathon either… Stick to the basics, do everything right and remain consistent. Don’t lose hope when u backslide.
Get back on your feet and continue the process.
